Yes, I have successfully updated my iPhone from 2.2 firmware to 3.0. It's quite a simple thing to do... All a big thank you to the awesome iPhone DevTeam! This is what I did on my Intel i7 with Windows Vista:
- Back-up your SMS, Contacts, etc. using iTunes 8.2.
- Click on your iPhone in iTunes, Shift + click on Restore and restore it with the ipsw 3.0.
- Once that is done, get RedSn0w (Ask Google) and execute the program.
- Just follow a bunch of simple steps, where you need Bootloader 3.9 and 4.6 also.
- And then, you're done!
See, told you it's quite simple. For those who are having trouble with their updates being stucked at 'Downloading jailbreak data' with the loading icon moving, I believe it is because you are still on the old firmware. To me, I solved this problem by upgrading to 3.0 using the iTunes restore first, and then perform the update.
Try it, and goodluck to you if you are attempting it :)

Finally my 3rd year of my uni life is over! Another year to go and I am not sure what to expect. The only thing I know for sure that I have to complete a final year project (FYP), where we will have a year to complete it. So I shall enjoy my 2 and a 1/2 months holiday first.
Also, the new iPhone 3.0 operating system is released. It's awesome that the Dev-Team manage to release the program to unlock/jailbreak the new OS. Time to try it out on my iPhone... Wish me luck!

As mentioned in the post's title, the new P1 10Mbps Wiggy is not compatible with Apple. This was confirmed when I asked one of the P1 promoter in Sunway Pyramid last week.
I would have really consider in trying out Wiggy if it is for Mac. But still, you would have to pay the monthly subscription for a year (More like a contract based) upfront in order to use it. That will be another huge consideration that needs to be done. What if Wiggy isn't good at all after paying for it? No worries, the promoter told me that if you are not happy with Wiggy, you can have a refund, which I believe it will be very difficult to get your money back once you give in.
Sigh...
Edited: Oh wait, good news! P1 Wiggy can be used with Apple Mac! But you need to have a Virtual PC with Windows in order to achieve it. More details here: http://www.bytebot.net/blog/archives/2009/05/07/p1-w1max-wiggy-using-vmware-to-get-it-working-on-a-mac

At last I am posting up my birthday post! I know it has already passed for almost 2 months, but still I would like to blog about it :)
It all started with a SMS from Barry to Ee Leen, which I accidentally read a few words from it. Ee Leen was really upset when she found out that I read it, but good thing she said that I read just a few words before the real content of the message lol! I didn't know what it was and as usual, I was really blur about it.
Warning: This is a long post.Read more...

- apple store
- LOL
In case most of you all still do not know, Apple have reduced the prices of their products alot... and I mean ALOT. Those of you who are thinking of getting a Mac, THIS IS YOUR GREAT CHANCE!
