An Apple A Day...

It was one fine day, where my dad called Apple to purchase a Mac Pro (Desktop version, not the notebook) for his client. I knew about the purchase on the Mac Pro as my dad was telling me that I can use my student card to get a better price. After purchasing the Mac Pro, my mum discussed with my dad whether to purchase a MacBook (Notebook version) for me. My dad agreed and quietly ordered a MacBook Pro for me, which I didn't know about it of course.

Then the next day, my mum was asking me what I wanted for my birthday, and with semangat-ness, I said I wanted a MacBook. Honestly speaking, I actually do not need a birthday gift as I have so many things that I need/have already, and of course by saying MacBook, it will be too pricey for my parents to purchase and thus, there is no need for them to get a birthday gift for me.

So, my mum asked again whether I wanted anything else other than MacBook? Like watch, shirt, shoes, etc. I replied no, I do not need them and I just wanted a MacBook.

Then my mum gave a surprising statement, "Okay, you go and order what Mac you want."

FUH, what a statement! I thought it was a joke, and then my dad told me about the MacBook which he purchased quietly:

"Actually we already ordered for you your MacBook Pro. But today an e-mail came from Apple saying that the order is canceled because I have used your student card more than once. They said one student card can purchase one Mac. But that time when I purchased the Mac Pro, I asked this sales girl whether can buy another MacBook Pro with your student card, she said can can, no problem sir! *Sigh* They all also not really sure."

WHATZZZZZ... Trust me, I was feeling sad but yet very very excited at the same time! My parents eventually ordered me a MacBook Pro which is not cheap at all!!!

So yeah, it was a sad news but that doesn't mean I won't get my Mac and I am so happy for my parents effort in trying to surprise me with my birthday gift! My parents thought that we could go out on that night to 1U or Sunway to get a MacBook straight away. In the end we never headed off to get a Mac. Just a normal dinner and back home.

The next morning then, my dad made a call to Apple, or is it the other way... I'm not sure but I know my dad talked with Apple to ask about the order of my MacBook. Out of a sudden, this guy that my dad talked to said that the order for my MacBook Pro has been approved! WHATTTTTZZZZZZ?! First no, now can! My dad was complaining to the guy what happened, because it was quite confusing whether is it really coming to my house or not. The guy confirmed about the order and said, "Sir, your MacBook Pro has been shipped." An e-mail came in later to confirm the order and inform that the order has been shipped.

Wohooooo!!! So I am actually getting one in the end! Thank God we didn't rush off to 1U or Sunway that night to look for a Mac for me. If not, I would be having 2 MacBooks =_=

DHL delivered my MacBook Pro on the 21st of April, at about 4:30pm while I was in college. What I can say about this notebook? You will never regret buying this notebook... ever. Well that is what I felt at least.

My dad came to a conclusion that the guy who canceled our order was confused between Mac Pro and MacBook Pro. Like I said, Mac Pro = Desktop version, MacBook Pro = Notebook version. Plus, Apple's term and condition says you can purchase 1 Mac (Desktop), 1 MacBook (Laptop) and 1 Mac-Mini (Mini desktop). Means you can buy 3 types of Mac with one student card.
