iPhone just keeps getting better and better

For those who have not get an iPhone and thinking about getting one, I really suggest that you do so! What more, you can officially get an iPhone from Maxis, or if you are geek enough, you can buy one from any PDA shop that sells it and unlock the phone.

Today I was just looking through the App Store from my iPhone to check out what new applications they have for iPhone. While looking through the Free applications category, I saw an official Skype application for iPhone! I quickly download it and tested it out.

A very nice splash screen graphic by Skype.

The contact list display. Very similar to the Skype application for PC.

This is the best part; Calling other Skype users on your iPhone for FREE! Just like how it is for PC. Basically my iPhone now is almost like a Skype phone.

Of course there are many great applications on iPhone. We have BeeJive IM, where you can sign in with MSN, AIM, Yahoo, ICQ, etc. account. I just checked out another application too, known as the iBluetooth which now allows you to transfer files from your iPhone to PC and vice versa. Fyi, iPhone Bluetooth's main purpose is for Bluetooth headsets only... and nothing else.

With Skype, I can practically call anyone, anywhere! Of course I need WiFi to make calls, but making oversea calls with Skype is so much cheaper. For example, calling Singapore line is only USD$0.021 per minute. It's only like about RM0.07 per minute when you call Singapore!

I really cannot imagine how powerful iPhone can be in the near future. What more, with the new iPhone OS 3.0 releasing some time this year, there will be more features included and application developers will be able to develop a more creative and powerful application to satisfy users' needs.

Go Apple!

And I want a Macbook 17" Pro for my birthday present......
